Clair, one of the young people at our Peaks Lane Housing Project, had a date with Kate when the Duchess of Cambridge recently visited Grimsby.
Her Royal Highness visited Peaks Lane Fire Station to greet young people on the Prince's Trust scheme, of which Clair is one.

Oasis Immingham Sleep Easy
Staff and pupils from Oasis Academy Immingham presented representatives from YMCA Humber with a cheque for £2,500 following their Sleep Easy event, which was held on 1st February.
The Academy held a 'closed' Sleep Easy event, the first of its kind in the region, for staff and pupils at their premises on the same night that 200 rough sleepers raised funds across the region.

Back to Nature
Young people from two of our housing projects in Grimsby got back to nature with a pre-Christmas trip to the grey seal colony at Donna Nook in Lincolnshire.

Back to School
Staff from Grimsby Cleethorpes and Humber Region YMCA went back to school as they performed a day's worth of activities, lessons and workshops on homelessness for pupils at Oasis Academy Immingham.

Young people from our Peaks Lane hostel have been getting back to basics by joining the Greenheart project in Stallingborough, just outside Grimsby.

Success Story: James
James Delaney arrived at the Community House on 28th October 2011. He had spent a number of months sofa surfing as he was evicted from his previous property and this was having an effect on his college work and his emotional wellbeing.
